INTRODUCING YMCA BREST

YMCA Brest is a branch and part of the national YMCA Belarus therefore it is natural that our activities are closely linked and is caused by the organization's activities throughout the country. Accordingly, we share a common

Mission: To promote and encourage the holistic development of a human being and the promotion of healthy lifestyle.

YMCA Brest was registered on the 25th of August, 2004 with official name in Russian «Брестское городское отделение общественной организации «Христианское содружество взрослых и молодых».

In 2004 in Brest nobody knew what YMCA was, therefore we had to assist any our activity with information about YMCA in general and particularly in Belarus. We are keeping convincing people the YMCA Brest is not religious organization but we suggest and provide very interesting activity for young people.

YMCA Brest activity focused on:

• inspiration of Christian values;
• openness and creativity of young people in joint activity;
• uniting people for the YMCA mission realization on the base of respect and tolerance between people;
• education and bringing up responsible leaders and volunteers;
• discloser of individual potentials and personal growth;

We are reaching these aims through our programs:

• "Youth For Healthy Lifestyle",
• "School of Leaders",
• "Ten Sing",
• "United Sisters",
• "English School",
• "International youth cooperation"

YMCA Brest is not just a branch of the YMCA Belarus but a part of huge international movement what gives us and everyone who comes to us so huge opportunities!
